The Kamo Hotel - Whangarei

For what we paid, we were happy enough with the overall room, close to Kensington stadium. the location had many nearby food options, and the bed was okay for a night's stay.

Room was not clean. Kitchen poorly equipped.

I booked it many times and recommend. I appreciated the hotel, everything was good here. The location was particularly good and unbeatable for me as it was close to the centre of town and shops, cafes, bakeries and restaurants. The very helpful and excellent staff was much appreciated...

the room was surprisingly spacious, with a comfortable bed and well-maintained shared bathroom directly across. Plenty of free parking was available. The staff were friendly, and the Indian restaurant opposite is recommended. Cons: 100% recommend this hotel.

My room was well presented and affordable, reflecting the pictures on the website. the hotel's location is central, making it just a short walk to all the shops, the center, and dining options. Cafe Irene's Pantry, located 1 km away, was a delightful surprise! 👍.

Stayed at a hotel near museums and a park, with parking and a bar. Even had free WiFi! Perfect for a posh lady like me. Abbey Caves were a nice bonus.

A very eventful stay. Noise all night kept me up. Broken lights & mold added to the excitement. Comical key drop box check-in. Insufficient amenities but clean rooms. Points for the free parking. I survived the "domestic drama" next door. Potential for improvement-maybe next time! But for the price, it did the job. A Kiwi's adventure in unique accommodations.
